Academic Mentor

The school is seeking to appoint a supportive and caring individual with a strong understanding of A Level Maths and/or Physics to provide weekly academic mentoring (tutoring).

  • Salary: £25-£50 per hour
  • Hours: Part time

The school is seeking to appoint reliable, enthusiastic and capable individuals to support a student with their academic work in Maths and/or Physics. This could be an applicant for each subject or one applicant for both subjects.

The appointed candidate(s) will run a ninety-minute weekly meeting per subject to go through recent work with the student and to ensure that the student has picked up key ideas from recent classroom-based learning. Ideally, the Maths support would happen between 9:15 and 11:00am on Mondays and the Physics support would happen between 2:30 and 4:15pm on Thursdays.

This post would suit both experienced tutors and undergraduates with confident understanding of A Level Further Maths and/or Physics content. You would work with passionate staff and teachers and be part of the team delivering one of the most exciting and successful educational visions in the UK!

The post will commence as soon as possible, continuing in term time only until 23 May 2025.
