Professor Alison Wolf
Vice-Chair of Governors, Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee
Professor Dame Alison Wolf DBE, Baroness Wolf of Dulwich, is a College Governor who was instrumental in founding King's Maths School. In addition to being Vice-Chair of Governors and Chair of the Finance and General Purposes Committee she sits on the Pay Committee, is a trustee of the ‘Friends of King’s Maths School’, and is a member of the ‘U-Maths’ steering group working to create a national organisation and charity for the country’s growing number of university maths schools. Term of office: 4 years from 2013-14, extended to Summer 2025.
Baroness Wolf of Dulwich is Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector Management at King’s College London. Alison sits as a cross-bench peer in the House of Lords. She is also a non-executive director of the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology and a member of the government’s Levelling Up Advisory Council.
In March 2011 she completed an official review of vocational education (‘The Wolf Review’) for England’s Secretary of State for Education. Its recommendations were accepted in full; and she advised the government on implementation. She was also a member of the ‘Augar Review’ (reported 2019) which advised the English government on the organisation and financing of post-18 education.
