Dr Waddingham holds an MSci in Geological Science from Imperial College and studied at the Natural History Museum in London. She achieved a PhD in Palaeoclimatology from the University of Reading and holds a PGCE in Secondary Geography from the Institute of Education. Dr Waddingham published 7 peer-reviewed papers. 

Whilst working for Imperial College over a period of ten years, she held roles in teaching, curation, finance and student recruitment. She then worked as an Operations Manager at Old Palace School before joining King’s Maths School.

Dr Waddingham is a keen performer, particularly enjoying musical theatre and Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. She is always looking for an opportunity to sing!
