Paul Cartwright
College Governor
Paul Cartwright serves on the Finance and General Purposes Committee as well as the Governing Body. Term of office: four years from July 2024.
Paul was appointed Member of King’s College Council and Chair of their Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee in July 2019. He is also a member of their Chair's Committee, their Remuneration Committee and their Governance and Nominations Committee.
Between 2014 and 2022, he was a Non-Executive Director of West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and chaired at various times their Audit Committee, their Finance Committee and their Remuneration Committee. Paul continues at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as an End of Life Chaplaincy volunteer.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he spent over twenty five years at Accenture in a variety of client based and management roles both in the UK and overseas, with his principal focus being on the systems and processes supporting the management of risk.
Paul initially graduated in Economics from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge and since leaving Accenture, he has completed a Graduate Diploma in Theology and a Masters in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies - both from King's College London. He is also an Associate of King's College London.
