Miss Woods-Shepherd oversees the outreach programme at King's Maths School and the work that the school does to widen participation in the mathematical sciences. She is the member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for Equality and Diversity across the school.

Miss Woods-Shepherd has a degree in Psychology, Philosophy, and Physiology from Oxford University and qualified as a maths teacher with Teach First. After teaching she went on to work for The Access Project, a social mobility and education charity supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to get into top universities.
